Liz judges Easter Bonnet competition

[12/04/2017 | No comment]

On Tuesday 11th April 2017 I was honoured to judge an Easter Bonnet competition organised by a befriending scheme for older people in Braunstone, which is run by the charity ‘b-inspired’ and the Braunstone Blues emergency services team.

B-inspired recruits local people to become volunteer befrienders for isolated or lonely older people, helping them get involved in social activities and trips out, to access local services or just spend time talking.

The older people I met told me about the huge difference the befrienders have made to their lives. I will continue to do everything I can to support the brilliant work done by b-inspired and the Braunstone Blues to help vulnerable residents in Braunstone.
