I recently visited Leicester’s Intensive Community Support (ICS) team which helps keep older people living at home so they don’t need to go into hospital. The ICS team offers nursing, physiotherapy, social care and other support from advanced practitioners.

I will be organising a visit with the ICS team soon, to see at first-hand the work they do. We need more services like this to improve care and reduce pressure on hospital services and A&E.
