I was proud to support the ‘This Girl Can’ campaign in Parliament this week. Around two million fewer women play sport than men and the campaign helps women to play more sport to reduce the gender gap. Sport England has invested £867,271 of National Lottery money in Leicester West in the last five years to get more people playing sport regularly, help talented athletes become the best the can be, and to make sure the right sports facilities are in the right places.
